Position Description:
NDSU English Department seeks a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor in British Literature beginning August 2019 to teach undergraduate courses in British literature, including the British Literature I (Medieval to Renaissance) and British Literature II (Romanticism to the present) surveys and either upper division writing courses (e.g. writing in the humanities and social sciences) or first-year writing courses, depending on the candidate's areas of experience, training, and preference. There is also the possibility of teaching a world literature and/or other literature course. Duties: 3/3 course load, service on one departmental committee each semester, and supervision of undergraduate Capstone projects.

Minimum Qualifications:
PhD in English or related field.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
College teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching British literature surveys; experience teaching writing.
