COMPENSATION: Competitive salary will be based on degree and credit hours taught.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This part-time, non-benefited position is located on the Bismarck State College campus. Opportunities exist for teaching Tuesday morning and/or Thursday morning and afternoon.

BSC is seeking dynamic and enthusiastic individual(s) with a passion for helping students of all abilities learn chemistry while maintaining the college's high reputation of preparing students for transfer.
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate Introductory Chemistry and Introduction to Organic and Biochemistry labs, submitting grades by the established deadline, and other duties as assigned by the Department Chair and/or Dean of Humanities, Arts & Sciences.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
  • Master's degree in chemistry or related discipline with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in chemistry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups.
  • Good computer software skills - Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook E-mail and Calendar.
Preferred:
  • College teaching experience.
  • Experience with non-traditional teaching methods such as facilitating group work, use of inquiry-based and other active learning pedagogies, and/or contextualized instruction.
