Position Overview

The Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for governing, building and running a cloud security program and a data leakage prevention (DLP) program. The purpose of the cloud security program is to define requirements, design, and secure cloud-based deployments. The purpose of the DLP program is to identify where DLP should be deployed and build and run it. The candidate will be part of a tight knit team that relies on honesty, strong communication and a positive attitude. This is a hands-on position.

Responsibilities
Must be able to...
  • Build and run a CASB solution. Make recommendations for configuration or alternative solutions
  • Build and run a DLP solution. Including implementing or governing data leakage rules either in a DLP solution(s) or native to the stack (e.g., Office 365 DLP, Cisco ESA DLP)
  • Responding to DLP alarms
  • Develop the following security standards:
    • Office 365 Security Standard
    • Azure Security Standard
    • Amazon AWS Security Standard
  • Coordinate meetings and present ideas to team members or large groups
  • Provide knowledge and expertise in cloud and data leakage
  • Learn new technologies and be willing to cross train other team members
  • Demonstrate proven behavioral skills, including being a team player, sound thinking and judgment, achieving results, relating to people, managing work effectively, and leading by example
Other typical tasks may include...
  • Provide administration and subject matter expertise on: CASB and DLP technologies
  • Build and maintain relationships with other departments and business units
  • Staying current on new technologies and threats
  • Developing and maintaining IT security procedures and guidelines
  • Assist in managing security compromises and data breaches (if relevant to cloud or DLP)
  • The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert on: Office 365, Azure, Amazon AWS, and Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) solutions

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
    Minimum/Essential Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience
    • CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent certification
    • 4-8 years of experience in IT Security Engineering roles
    Preferred Qualifications/Selection Criteria:
    • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
