Opportunity to serve the citizens of Valley City. The Sanitation Specialist I is responsible for operating a garbage truck, collecting garbage, performing minor truck maintenance, and otherwise assisting with the operations of the Public Works Department, including groundskeeping and snow removal. Full-time. Hours may vary. Regular hours include 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, M-F, with Saturday rotation from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Salary DOE, starting at $15.78/hr. Benefits include health insurance and retirement plan. Required: high school diploma or GED; valid driver's license; pre-employment and random drug/alcohol testing. Must acquire Class B CDL within six months of hire.
