Description

This position will assist the in-house architect with day-to-day design and construction tasks relating to the various ongoing projects. The Junior Architect should have 1-3 years of experience with the basic understanding of architectural drawings and experience in Revit.

 

Job Duties Include
  • Assist in development of schematic design, design development, and construction documents, specifications and technical reports for specific projects
  • Assist with drafting and modifying architectural drawings, elevations, sections, details, etc. as directed by others
  • Operate Revit to produce concepts, designs and working drawings
  • Develop solutions to technical and design problems
  • Assist with construction administration
  • Perform architectural assignments and work from designs of others
  • Be a self-starter; ability to work independently as well as with other personnel and management
  • Visit job sites to compile measurements as necessary
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.

  • Attend required company meetings and training and participate in constructive discussion.

  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner

 

Requirements
  • Master or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, or related field
  • 1-3 years of related experience with an architecture/drafting firm
  • Extensive experience with Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency with 3D rendering software preferred
  • Basic understanding of architectural drawings
  • Experience with the production of construction documents
  • Knowledgeable in Adobe Creative Suite and other drafting and presentation tools preferred, but not required
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines
  • Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment

Candidate must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
