DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides exceptional, STAR Service to ensure overall guest satisfaction.

  • Performs the position-specific STAR service expectations, as outlined by the department.

 

Providing superior guest service to our guests entering and exiting the Shooting Star Casino, Hotel and Event Center, to ensure a great first impression to our guests.

  • Provide door service for all guests entering and exiting the facility.
  • Greet all guests with a friendly smile and hello.
  • Thank guests for their patronage and invite them back.
  • Establish a professional relationship with guests, such as first names, favorite games, where they are from, etc.
  • Assists with greeting passengers on limos and tour groups upon their arrival at the Shooting Star, which includes dispersal of coupon packages.
  • Inform guests of the benefits of the Star Rewards’ Club, and current and future events.
  • Assist with functions, promotions, and events on the gaming floor and Event Center.

 

Listens and responds to guest concerns to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.

  • Refers guests to the appropriate department or function for issue resolution.
  • Ensures the strictest of confidentiality is maintained at all times.

 

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); minimum of two months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses & Designations

Must meet licensing requirements as prescribed by the Tribal- State Compact for gaming.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of basic office equipment and their uses.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply internal gaming controls.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply commonly accepted rules of grammar, spelling and punctuation in written communication to develop Management reports and summaries.
  • Skills of determining alternatives that would correct a situation to provide effective guest services.
  • Skill in preparing written materials such as correspondence reports and proposals to meet purpose and audience.
  • Ability to meet deadlines for a variety of projects.
  • Ability to display decision making skills.
  • Ability to work independently, be self motivated and display outstanding customer service skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as gaming controls and procedure manuals, safety rules, and operation and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to follow procedures and give attention to detail.
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a group to make the work of the group successful and effective.
  • Ability to identify and carry out actions to achieve goals while considering risks.
  • Ability to frequently stand for up to 8 hours.
  • Ability to reach above shoulder height.
  • Ability to reach below shoulder height.
  • Ability to occasionally climb ladders.
  • Ability to frequently stoop and bend.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Occasional to frequent exposure to loud noise levels.
  • Minimal exposure to Blood Bourne Pathogens.
  • Minimal exposure to Dust/Dirt.
  • Continuous exposure to moderate concentration levels of tobacco smoke.

  • *Shift differential of additional $1.25/hr for swing and night shift and an additional weekend differential of $1.25/hr. Requirements based on position. Available for hours worked after a team member completes their 90-day probationary time frame.
