Job Details

Job Summary: Production Lead for Vision Jet (SF50) Fuselage team. Assists supervisor in coordinating activities of workers engaged in production or related activities.

Essential Duties:
  • Communicates, prioritizes, and assigns tasks to a specific group of employees in accordance to supervisor, or appropriate designee's instructions.
  • Monitors employees' daily output and assigns workers to work stations to meet production requirements. Interprets process specifications for workers as needed.
  • Confers with supervisor to receive instructions and exchange production information.
  • Performs "shop supervisor" inspections for a specific area of the work center. Monitors production and adjusts work assignments, supply of material, and machine operation when necessary.
  • Assists supervisor or appropriate designee in identifying problem areas and recommends solutions.
  • Responsible for immediate follow up on or referral of employee conflicts or other employee related issues to the supervisor or line manager.
  • Works with the supervisor to include input for performance reviews.
  • Communicates with engineering personnel and other areas as needed.
  • Trains and assists new employees in job responsibilities.
  • May be asked to coordinate, develop, and provide on-the-job training for technicians, attend Train-the-Trainer sessions, assist supervisor in assessing the training needs and document training as required.
  • Ensures that all assigned work areas are kept clean, orderly, and presentable at all times. Applies the 6S principle (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety).
  • Wears proper protective equipment during appropriate job functions.
  • Complies with all paperwork, such as work instructions, that govern job duties.
  • May be assigned to different work areas as production needs require.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Team Lead, Department Supervisor, Line Manager, or appropriate designee.

Position Requirements:
  • Attention to detail required.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team.
  • Must be able to fill out work instructions properly, able to understand the planning flow and be able to adjust and explain the planning procedures.
  • Must be able to understand all process specifications and pertinent reference information.
  • Must be proficient in completing forms necessary to generate work and changes to work orders, pick lists, drawings, and other related documents.
  • Ability to use and recognize the necessary tools needed to perform the necessary installation of the required hardware.
  • Able to read, interpret and work from engineering drawings, blue prints, production illustrations and other specifications to determine the identity, location and relationship of aircraft parts.
  • Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment drug screen

Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. One to twelve months' related experience and/or training. Cirrus manufacturing experience preferred.
