Position Description:
The Office of Admission is seeking an organized, energetic, creative and collaborative team member to serve as Assistant Director for Multicultural Recruitment. Responsibilities of this position include developing, implementing and executing a comprehensive, strategic recruitment plan driven by institutional priorities for multicultural and underrepresented student recruitment; Promote the Cultural Diversity Tuition Waiver and oversee the awarding process; Counsel and visit with prospective students and families who inquire about NDSU ; Plan and execute approximately 8-10 weeks of recruitment travel annually in an assigned territory through high school and community college visits, college fairs and other outreach events; Establish relationships with college readiness organizations, community-based organizations and secondary school personnel; Serve as liaison between the Office of Admission, Office of Multicultural Programs, and Student Support Services.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• Two or more years of admission, student services, college advocacy, community outreach, or related experience
• Knowledge of needs of low-income, first-generation, and historically underrepresented students
• Experience coordinating programs and events for diverse student populations
• Demonstrated success in building collaborative relationships with students, families, community-based organizations, faculty, alumni, high school and/or community college personnel
• Ability to effectively and efficiently plan and execute projects simultaneously
• Experience managing data and analysis for reports
• Computer skills
• Strong written, interpersonal and presentation communication skills
• Strong customer service experience/skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends, and conduct overnight travel
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree
• Bachelor's degree from NDSU OR Strong familiarity w/ NDSU programs
• Experience working in recruitment and admission at a regionally accredited college or university
• Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds
• Proficiency in Spanish - oral and written skills are preferred
