JOB SUMMARY

Leads in conjunction with business stakeholders the project portfolio process by leveraging tools, processes, procedures, and reporting around a holistic portfolio prioritization and selection process to ensure the portfolio of work is maximizing our resources and financial investments on the highest value work aligned to portfolio and enterprise strategies.
The Portfolio Manager monitors the accuracy of requests including risks, dependencies, and high-level requirements. The role maintains a strategic view of business objectives and how various projects and programs fit within those objectives. The Portfolio Manager is responsible for maintaining overall prioritization criteria used for making prioritization and resource allocation decisions.
Lead portfolio management and governance framework to prioritize projects/program according to relevant measurement criteria. Allocate project/program management resources based upon corporate and organization priorities.
Participate in and help direct annual project portfolio planning and prioritization activities based upon organizational goal setting.
Produce executive dashboards and engage executive leadership in review of portfolio health and status.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Controls strategic and mission-critical IT projects involving multiple parties. Champions resource management policies that support strategy and stewardship. Motivates others to work toward a common purpose. Controls strategic and mission-critical IT projects involving multiple parties. Creates an environment where cross-functional teams flourish. Creates standard procedures for IT project planning and organizing from a quality assurance perspective. Develops project reporting methods and presentations at the senior management level. Handles multiple initiatives at the same time and integrates them into a comprehensive plan. Designs, plans and reviews IT procedures for all projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree required. Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Health Administration (MHA) or a Master's degree in a related field preferred.
Minimum of five years of experience in operational/process improvement, project management or health care management preferred. General knowledge of portfolio management.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent advanced training in project management required within one year.
