WDAY, the #1 station in Fargo, North Dakota is looking for an anchor/producer to lead our 9pm newscast, join our team and work in our multi-platform newsroom. You will anchor and help produce our Monday - Friday 9pm news and fill-in on the 6pm and 10pm when need. You will also do some reporting when needed.

WDAY is an Emmy award winning, locally owned and operated station that covers eastern North Dakota and western Minnesota. We produce over 30 hours of local news each week. We have a staff of over 35 journalists working in news, weather and sports. We also provide outside training and one on one coaching for our team members. Our newsroom includes spacious work areas for each employee, a makeup room, meeting spaces and a relaxation area complete with couches, televisions and fireplace.

WDAY has helped launch the careers of many news professionals around the country.

We have alumni in many of the county's top markets including Minneapolis, Denver, Phoenix, Detroit, Chicago, Tampa Bay, Albuquerque, and Las Vegas.

Fargo is the largest city in North Dakota and borders Moorhead, Minnesota. The metro population is over 240,000, including the cities of Fargo and West Fargo in North Dakota and Moorhead and Dilworth in Minnesota. Fargo has a vibrant downtown with many activities and events geared towards young professionals. The community hosts many major concert, sporting, and community events throughout the year. The FM area has many different styles of apartments to choose from, including several new apartment buildings in several new neighborhoods. The communities have plenty of options for shopping, from local specialty shops to major retailers.

Position Requirements
  • One year of anchoring experience.
  • Must have exceptional writing, communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be creative, hard working and a self starter.
  • Able to work well with others, under pressure and with strict deadlines.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a driving record that is insurable by the Company.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle with an acceptable level of insurance coverage.
