The Clinical Learning Coordinator is a liaison to a variety of partners both within and external to Altru Health System. This role provides program coordination for a number of educational offerings. A combination of clinical expertise and knowledge of education principles serve as key contributions to this position's role in analyzing clinical needs, developing and delivering educational programming, and supporting the learning agenda of the organization. This position has responsibilities in consulting, teaching, lesson planning, program development and coordination, as well as research and evaluation. Highly developed communication skills, use of technology, instructional design, and the ability to create an engaging environment for adult learning from a variety of disciplines.

Coordinates, teaches, and evaluates learning program/class offerings including content review, licensure/guideline requirements, program evaluation and other. Coordination of educational offerings includes emergency medical services and regional education. Creates materials that align to the organization's learning strategy. This includes engaging and working collaboratively with a diverse group of instructors both internal and external to Altru Health System. Serves as a coach to instructors related to course flow/teaching/attendance.

Proactively builds partnerships with stakeholders to meet the organization's educational needs, including monitoring expense and revenue budgets for programs of responsibility.

Conducts ongoing needs analysis to identify educational needs of clinical and medical staff and maintains recommended available resources to achieve continuing education requirements.

Engages in a continuous improvement process, reviewing current literature related to best practices for the purposes of maintaining and improving relevant competencies.

Develops education plans based on gap analysis of safety and near miss reports.

Monitors and supports budget expenses and revenue for programs of responsibility.

Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
