Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Classification$25-$27/hour, part-time, benefitted
Benefits:  Includes single or family health care coverage (premiums paid for by the university), basic life insurance, EAP, retirement plan, tuition waiver, annual and sick leave.  Optional benefits available: supplemental life, dental, vision, long term care insurance, flexible spending account, supplemental retirement plans. 

We are currently recruiting for seven vacant positions.

  • Conduct ground, FTD and flight instructions (Minimum of 1040 hours of contact time annually)
  • Follow prescribed curriculum.
  • Maintain student records, logbooks, and endorsements.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress.
  • Maintain superior training standards.
  • Conduct stage checks.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures and policies and procedures.
  • Attend Safety Meetings.
  • Other Duties as assigned.


Competencies Required:

  • Motivated self-starter with ability to perform without direct supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to make sound decisions concerning training problems.
  • Good team building skills.
  • Excellent working knowledge of UND training course outlines and computer systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of UND records systems.

Minimim Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent flight experieince.
  • 2 years of UND Flight Instructor Coop Experience.
  • 1000 hours of dual given or equivalent instructional experience.
  • Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating.
  • Current CFI Airplane.
  • Current FAA Medical Certificate.
  • Successful completion of Criminal History Records Check
