Product Manager

We are looking for the next exceptional employee owner to join the team representing our brands dedicated to serving OEM and wholesale customers supplying the water and wastewater markets as a Product Manager in Detroit Lakes, MN.

Key Responsibilities and duties include:

• Provide leadership in planning, organizing and implementing strategy to manage assigned product lines from conceptual stages through product life cycle.
• Determine market needs through industry and customer contacts
• Work with sales, R&D, and operations to build a forecast for new products
• Work with Marketing Communications & Sales to identify needed sales tools and training
• Conduct sales training and communicate positioning strategy
• Monitor sales results vs forecast
• Assist in identifying cost reductions and product re-designs
• 20% Travel, including travel outside of the United States

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or other related field and at least five (5) years product management, project management, and product launch experience
• Proven track record leading multi-functional teams
• Tradeshow experience
• Proficiency with MS Office applications  
• Strategic thinking and planning skills
• Financial and technical analytic skills
• Organized and able to prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely
• Presentation skills for educating managers, customers, and employees on product-related topics
• Creative problem-solver who is results oriented, proactive, organized, and calm under pressure
• Team and detail oriented, having positive attitude and a strong passion for customer satisfaction
• Experience in the water/waste water industry is a plus
