Position Description

Inspect, test, sort, sample, or weigh machined, fabricated, or assembled parts or products for defects, wear, and deviations from specifications. QC Inspectors use precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment. They inspect Pequot Tool produced & outside service produced parts, products or materials for conformance to a customer's specifications and Pequot Tool workmanship standards. 

Pequot Tool is a Drug-Free Workplace and all offers of employment are contingent upon passing a negative Drug Test. As a firearms components manufacturer, prospective employees who have a prior felony conviction may be disqualified from employment if their record has not been expunged and their civic rights restored.

Position Requirements

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and part specifications.
• Has ability to operate measuring equipment and inspection equipment accurately.
• Can compare dimensions of part to print, examining finish, color, texture.

Requires communication skills and ability to complete inspection forms, use of a computer and related software. Teamwork, problem-solving and good judgment are required. 

Previous inspection experience is preferred, however, we can train the right candidate who demonstrates a high mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
