Lakewood Health System has an opening for a full-time Grant Coordinator.

The Grant Coordinator is primarily responsible for researching, developing and writing grant proposals to foundations and other grant-making organizations. The grants coordinator will assemble and submit grant requests, track grants throughout their lifecycles and prepare written grants communications for internal and external stakeholders.

Job Duties:

  • Actively search for available grant opportunities that align with LHS strategic plans, with a special focus on State and Foundation grants.
  • Compile necessary internal documents needed for grant applications.
  • Writes letters of inquiry, letters of support and content needed for grant applications.
  • Ensures timely and accurate submission of grant applications.
  • Assist internal grants project management staff to develop systems of accountability within the grant application process.
  • Track all grants through their life cycle including application, award / decline, closeout procedures.
  • Prepare all administrative reports (both narrative and fiscal reports) for proper compliance and timely submission.
  • Assist internal departments on the project management and execution of awarded grant objectives
  • Assist in writing department communications and grants / policy updates.
  • Prepares materials, presentations and communications for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provides support for other department needs and special projects / events.

Qualifications

 

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Business Administration, Health or Human Services or related fields required.
  2. Exceptional written communication skills.
  3. Previous grant writing experience preferred.
  4. Must have strong written and oral communication skills, including preparation and report presentation.
  5. Knowledge of personal computers, PC applications, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
  6. Proven team building and leadership skills.
  7. Must be self-motivated, strong problem solver, and detail-oriented.
