JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the effective provisioning,
installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of Cloud based systems,
physical and virtual on-premise servers, on-premise server hardware, and other
related software and hardware infrastructure. Analyzes, troubleshoots, and
resolves performance issues. Works with internal support teams, help desk and
outside vendors to resolve tickets and implement new/upgraded systems.
Researches, analyzes and makes recommendations for system improvements. The
Server Administrator diagnoses, resolves, and documents system problems in a
timely and accurate fashion. Develops and executes integration test plans and
quality assurance measures, where applicable. Ensures that system hardware,
operating systems, software systems, and associated standard operating
procedures meet organizational requirements. Provides training and support
where required. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures
within the computing field required. Must have a strong understanding of
information security, system hardening, and implementing proactive measures to
protect the infrastructure. Must have an extensive working knowledge in the
configuration and maintenance of server infrastructure and related operating
systems or infrastructure applications, which may include Windows, Unix, Linux,
VMware, and Citrix. Familiarity with orchestration and automation tools (Chef,
Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack) is a plus. Must have good interpersonal skills to
provide the appropriate support to a variety of stakeholders.

***Opening will be filled in Sioux Falls, SD or Fargo, ND.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will primarily focus on design, engineering, and administration of various Linux systems (RedHat, Suse, Debian) as well as administration of Epic on AIX.
Confer with affected users about how to solve existing system problems. Monitor performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future. Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations. Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware. Coordinate with vendors and with company personnel to facilitate purchases. Gather data pertaining to customer needs, and use the information to identify, predict, interpret, and evaluate system and network requirements. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary. Standardize and automate deployment, configuration, and management to ensure consistent, scalable, and operationally efficient infrastructure. Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate's Degree in a computer-related field required. Bachelor's Degree in a computer-related field preferred.
Three years of technical experience working with computer infrastructure in either on-premise or cloud-based administration.
When applicable, may need a valid driver's license. If valid driver's license is required, must maintain a good driving record.
