School Bus Drivers

Description:   South Washington County School District seeks Bus drivers for substitute and route driving.  
Morning and/or afternoon hours may be available

 

 

 

  • Substitute and PT routes- 6-9:30 AM 10 AM - 1 PM and 1:30-4:30 PM (hours can vary by assigned route)

Compensation:  $17.30/hr to start, up to $20.35/hr depending on qualifications and experience

 

 

 

Job Summary:  School Bus Driver   

 


Qualifications:  In order to be hired by the South Washington County School District you will need to participate in the following if you currently hold a CDL and School Bus endorsement:

 

  1. Driver Record Check
  2. Interview
  3. State of Minnesota Criminal Background Check
  4. Reference Checks
  5. Classroom Training and a Behind the Wheel Evaluation
  6. Pass the DOT Pre-employment Drug Screening

 

If you do not have a School Bus License we will train you. You will need to do the following in addition to the above items:

 

  1. Pass a CDL physical
  2. Obtain a CDL permit with school bus and Passenger endorsement
  3. Attend Classroom and Behind the Wheel Training
  4. Pass the Minnesota CDL/ School Bus  Road Test
