Position Summary:

Develops, designs and implements B2B and B2C ecommerce material handling solutions in multi-location fulfillment centers. Manages a team of process/ industrial engineers and project engineers that focus on optimizing process efficiency, logistical capital investments, direct labor cost, and new fulfillment center expansion. This role can be based in Louisville, KY or Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.


Overall Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct a team of industrial and project engineers
  • Continuous review and improvement of existing cost and client satisfaction processes
  • Manage operations capital investment portfolio and demonstrate annualized cost optimization
  • Manage complex multi-function/ multi fulfillment center projects
  • Work with Business Development on crafting compelling new client solutions
  • Extensive travel and hands on guidance in all fulfillment centers in North America

Requirements - 8-10 years of experience in the following:

  • Managing geographically dispersed operations engineering teams
  • Developing solutions for B2B and B2C ecommerce multi-node fulfillment centers
  • Developing and driving capex ROI solutions
  • New "greenfield startups"
  • Developing complex RFQ's for material handling equipment
  • Extensive Multi-Client 3PL activity based and revenue share costing models
  • Extensive knowledge in Warehouse Management Systems, Warehouse Control Systems and Transportation Management Systems
  • BS Degree in Industrial Engineering, an MS in Industrial Engineering is a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills.
  • Established track record of having delivered results in a dynamic, fast-paced, changing environment
  • Proven bias for action, pro-active and solutions orientation.
  • Able to interact with all levels of employees, management, external clients and vendors.
  • Organizational and planning skills, including ability to: prioritize work, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set goals and enforce deadlines, while maintaining flexibility to reassess and prioritize goals.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
  • Experienced self-starter who works in a solution-oriented way and thinks continuously in improvement processes.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time across the US as needed.

  • Process personal data, client data and employer business specific data in accordance with customer contracts, company guidelines and federal and state requirements.
