Position Description:
(M-F 6:30am-3:00pm, Rotating weekends. Hours may vary during spring, summer and winter breaks.)

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Complete prep work
  • Operate, maintain and clean kitchen equipment
  • Provide input on recipes and menus
  • Assure that strict attention is given to quality, presentation, portion control and proper temperature maintenance for all food items being produced
  • Document and report amounts of food produced, served and leftover
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing and hiring employees
  • Review daily time clock records for accuracy
  • Provide continuous training and feedback to develop staff
  • Serve as a role model and leader for staff in customer service and teamwork

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a food service operation
  • Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a food service operation
  • Familiarity with computer programs such as Microsoft Word and email
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to contribute to a positive and productive team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Food Safety Certification
  • College or University food service experience

Physical Demands:
Continuously: Stand, walk, use hands dexterously (use fingers to handle, feel), reach with hands and arms, see, talk, hear, taste, smell and lift up to 10 pounds.
Frequently: Lift up to 25 pounds.
Occasionally: Sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and lift up to 50 pounds.
