This is a 12-month full-time (FTE 1.0) position working approximately 40 hours a week. The position will be an employee of the SEEC.

This position will be split between performing administrative duties in the mornings. In the afternoons, this position will be responsible to lead, coordinate and support the 21st Century Community Learning Center (21CCLC) afterschool program in the Jamestown Public Schools. Supports the overall goals, objective and strategies of the South East Education Cooperative. Responsible to represent the SEEC in a positive way to staff and member schools.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with the recruiting and on-boarding process for staff in the Jamestown program.
Oversees implementation of the three 21CCLC afterschool programs in Jamestown.
Supports and manages afterschool program staff; provide feedback, evaluation, and identify professional learning needs of staff.
Interacts with and teaches students in grades K - 5 in groups of up to 20 students (1/20 ratio).
Plans and implements prepared curriculum and assigned lesson materials to teach academic subjects as well as enrichment classes.
Coordinates with the Program Manager and Afterschool Coach in carrying out day-to-day programming following the SEEC's 21CCLC program model.
Ensures daily that the site is properly prepared to receive students to include any set up of stations.
Ensures all areas utilized are clean and straightened at the end of the day.
Substitutes for other staff as needed and participate in Discovery Time and Huddle Time.
Develops relationships with school staff, students and parents.
Ensures student registration and daily attendance information is received and processed as required.
Will be responsible to secure all materials and supplies needed for daily lessons.
Completes all required weekly, daily and monthly paperwork accurately in a timely manner.
Maintains a positive behavior environment for students following the SEEC program model.
Conducts monthly communication meetings with afterschool staff, school support staff and building principals at your site.
Proper protection, handling, storage and disposal of confidential or personally identifiable information (PII).
Promotes 21CCLC programs to parents and community members.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee all 21CCLC staff assigned to these sites.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Associate degree in early childhood development, education or social and behavioral science type degree. Preferred Bachelor's degree or higher.
A minimum of two (2) years' work experience planning and supervising activities with children.
Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.
Ability to speak, read and write English fluently
Certified, or ability to become certified, in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Preferred, but not required, current ND Educator's license.
Pass FBI, state and National Sex Offender Public Website (NSOPW) background checks.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Interaction level with others is high. Mostly typical office environment temperature but can experience extreme temperatures when performing tasks outside of the classroom. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk or stoop. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds such as to lift files and paper.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee frequently will be required to meet multiple demands from several people. Position demands meeting deadlines and frequently working irregular or extended hours.
