Job ID 2# of Openings 1Job Locations US-WI-MayvillePosted Date 9 hours agoCategory EngineeringType Regular Full-TimeOverview Reporting to the NPI manager, the Off-line Program Developer will create off-line programs for all robotic operations to complete build packages that can then be provided to our production team. The applicant of choice will be part of a team supporting all (3) of our manufacturing facilities to write off-line robotic programs for our brake presses, robotic weld cells and paint robots. Metalcraft of Mayville currently uses Cincinnati Bend Sim, Weld-Pro and Paint-Pro to complete off-line programs.Responsibilities Evaluate new products with Operations teams during advanced quality planning meetings to determine robotic strategies for productionDetermine with the operations team, robotic weld assets to be deployed for new products (in-house robotic inventory or new) based on welding requirements (robot type, torch type, arm length, etcWhen new robotic welding equipment is needed; gather requirements of the new system and coordinate the acquisition with operations and our automation providerPartner with the Tool Design team to ensure weld fixtures and press brake tooling meet the requirements set forth at the onset of the project to facilitate robotic processingWrite off-line robotic brake press, weld and paint programs that meet all relevant specifications called out on customer blueprintsAssess cycle times of off-line programs to certify that tact times are attainable and cycle times are kept at an absolute minimumDeliver hands-on' support during a new product run on the production floorProvide off-line press brake and paint programs for current production partsOther duties as assigned Qualifications Candidate of choice must have at least one year of work experience using off-line programming softwareTrack record of successful robotic deploymentAble to read manufacturing blueprints and actively collaborate on GD applicationsExcellent communication and project management skillsAssociate's degree in Engineering, relevant degree or supporting work experiencePLC and robotics experienceFluent in all Microsoft Office productsExceptional organizational skillsMetalcraft of Mayville is an Equal Opportunity Employer:Minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identityPM17 PI
