Job Title: Fabrication Supervisor - CNC Milling Department: Fabrication Reports to: Fabrication Manager FLSA Status: Non-exempt Position Objective:
  • Through the practice of servant leadership; enhance people's lives; lead the performance of the CNC Milling resources to safely deliver quality, best value products and services, on time, to internal and external customers.


    Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, work direction, and feedback for CNC mill team members to improve individual performance in coordination with the Fabrication Manager
  • Coach, mentor, train and develop team members to reach their full potential
  • Communicate openly, share knowledge, build positive collaboration between departments
  • Monitor team performance as it relates to the CNC mills and take corrective action as required
  • Assist team members with addressing and resolving issues with parts, tooling, and processes
  • Setup and operate CNC mills at a high level of proficiency to contribute to overall production needs
  • Troubleshoot and address any equipment issues that arise, in coordination with the Fabrication Manager
  • Ensure safe work practices are followed, housekeeping and routine maintenance tasks are performed
  • Ensure quality control processes and part quality meet documented requirements
  • Ensure production schedules are met with on-time completion of tasks
  • Recommend and implement best practices to increase productivity and reduce costs
  • Support and contribute to department and company metrics
  • Be actively engaged in continuous improvement projects and culture

    General Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to, support and promote the Aagard vision and culture statements
  • Demonstrate professional, respectful interaction with other team members

    Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum High School Diploma, Associate's degree in Machine Tool Technology or related field preferred plus 2+ years manufacturing management experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Experience in interviewing, performance management, and coaching employees helpful
  • Ability to read CAD drawings and blueprints
  • Demonstrated ability to set up and operate CNC equipment
  • Ability to read measuring instruments
  • Experience with machinery fabrication
  • Ability to walk or stand up to 100 percent of the time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stop, knee, crouch, crawl, or climb
  • Experience with Microsoft products including proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience or training with computers and ability to learn and use Aagard specific software
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, take action and be proactive
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external customers verbally, in writing, with presentation skills
