The Billing
Manager is responsible for leadership and oversight of billing and reporting
systems. This includes leading and
planning operations, contract and accounting policy compliance, reporting and
analyzing revenue, as well as staff management and development. This position is responsible for designing,
implementing, and enforcing policies and procedures, as well as streamlining
billing processes. This position is
highly visible internally and externally and requires a strong leader with the
ability to prioritize, plan, and direct the billing team.

Primary
Responsibilities:

Oversee invoice preparation and delivery of invoices and reportsEnsure the customer billing process occurs in a timely and accurate mannerMonitor the billing system calculations during normal operations and system upgrades to ensure the integrity of the processInteract with customers and program management to establish strong working relationshipsMonitor funding and outstanding A / R balances and take appropriate actions to manage DSOPrepare reports and analyses as required in support of the monthly financial closing process and contractual obligationsPlan and implement quality assurance for all processesLeverage technology to add controls and eliminate risk from financial processesOversee the implementation of all new contractsRequired
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field OR High School Diploma / GED with 5+ years of progressive experience working within a relevant Billing role or related professional role3+ years of progressive experience working within a relevant Billing role or related professional role1+ year of supervisory or leadership experience to include strong leadership skills with ability to develop and motivate direct reportsPrevious experience managing multiple projects and responsibilities while continuously meeting critical deadlinesExperience with MS Excel (pivot tables; V - Lookup); Word (document creation and maintenance); Outlook (emails; calendar; meetings)Experience with integrated accounting systems

Preferred
Qualifications:

Experience in Health Care IndustryWorking knowledge of medical terminology, ICD - 9, ICD - 10, CPT codingExperience with contracts and various pricing formatsNational Career Readiness Certificate
