Accounting Specialist We have seen increased demand from our Hudson area clients looking for proven Accounting Specialists to join their teams. Many of these jobs have converted to become full-time positions within these established organizations. Contracting with Accountemps gives you unique access into the organization to assess your interest in earning a long-time position based on the workload, management styles, coworkers and other information important to you as you make your decision. Most accounting specialists are a key member of the accounting group to ensure accurate and timely processing throughout the invoicing process. We are looking for a driven individual with the ability to see the big picture and work well in a team setting. Responsibilities often include: ? Matching, batching and coding invoices with proper tax allocation ? Verifying, auditing and processing PO and non-PO invoices in a timely manor ? Maintaining accurate and up-to-date vendor files ? Primary contact for internal and external staff regarding expenses and payables ? Initiating ACH payments ? Researching accounting operation discrepancies ? Reconciling accounts including sales tax while supporting month end close duties ? Ad ? hoc responsibilities as assigned by leadership The ideal candidate for this role has a strong independent work ethic, with the ability to adapt to new systems and learn set department procedures. ? Prior accounts payable experience, preferably in a high volume environment ? Proven MS Office and 10-key experience ? The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines ? Attention to detail and problem solving skills ? Mid-Large corp ERP systems exposure strongly preferred (SAP, JDE, Oracle, Great Plains Etc)
