County Highway Engineer

GENERAL DUTIES:Performs administrative and professional engineering work to include planning and implementing and evaluating all programs and projects related to the expansion, improvement and maintenance activities on the County highway system. Plans, designs and directs civil engineering projects to include roads and bridges. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:?? Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering?? Current professional engineering (PE) registration as a civil or highway engineer in the state of Minnesota or the ability to become MN registered within 6 months. ?? County Highway Engineer shall be a citizen and resident of this state. MN Stat. 163.07?? County board may appoint a new county engineer for a term of only one year; reappointments shall be a term of four years, and shall be made in May of the year in which the term expires.
