Department: Regional Resource Pool (RRP)
Additional Job Details: .8 FTE / NIGHTS, Every Third Weekend. Our nurses work 8 or 12 hour shifts and the RRP offers flexible scheduling. The holiday rotation is no more than 4 Ascension approved holidays per year. All nurses are BLS and ACLS trained.

RRP staff have reliable transportation and float to 7 Ascension hospitals in the greater Milwaukee area (including Columbia St. Mary's Milwaukee, St. Joseph's Hospital, Elmbrook Memorial Hospital, Columbia St. Mary's Ozaukee, St. Francis Hospital, Franklin Hospital and All Saints Hospital)
The RRP nursing team floats throughout the Milwaukee area Ascension hospitals supporting staffing needs. They are adaptable and flexible to be able to work independently in multiple departments within their specialty. The Nursing staff work with multidisciplinary team which includes: Hospitalists, Case Managers, Social Workers, Pharmacists, Cardiac Rehab Nurses, OT, PT, Speech Therapy, and Chaplains. Our team works together with the staff on the unit to meet the needs of the patients and their families.
We welcome independent and confident staff, requiring ICU RN's to have at least 2 years of ICU experience and Med/Surg/Tele RN's to have at least 1.5 years of acute care experience. This group is known to have great teamwork, have flexibility in being able to float to different locations, and work well with others. RRP float staff are able to adapt well to schedule and process changes.
Our Med/Surg/Tele team float to units such as Medical, Surgical, Telemetry, Orthopedics, Oncology, CPT, Physical Rehab, Psych, as well as assist by tasking or holding inpatients in ED and tasking in ICU. There is a constant opportunity for growth and learning. The ICU team is able to float to the many ICU units throughout the Milwaukee.

What You Will Need
Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
  • Required Credential(s):
    • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
  • Diploma
    • Graduate of a board-approved Registered Nurse Program required Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Work Experience:
  • RN with 18 months or more experience preferred.
