The Branch Manager will play a crucial role in by finding top talent, provide leadership to the inside sales team, warehouse, operations and delivery team members while maintaining a strong customer focus. On a day-to-day basis, this position will provide guidance to the Insides sales staff, operations of the branch, warehouse and delivery team members to ensure correct sales order entry, delivery, receipt, and coordination of customer orders.  This position will serve as a backup for Inside Sales/Counter sales & warehouse responsibilities (when needed). The Branch Manager is a self-starter, works autonomously and performs all the duties and responsibilities that sets an example for others.  This individual continually coaches and mentor’s others on the team, so they may continually improve.  Ensure processes are in place to manage work flow, promote safety, promote proficiency in delivering product, monitor truck maintenance, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations to support excellent customer service, accuracy, and compliance. Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions: 

  • Manages Insides sales, day to day operations and distribution to promote strong customer service and branch growth. 
  • Provides direct leadership to the branch, insides sales, warehouse and delivery team members 
  • Reviews branch performance metrics to drive efficiencies and improve individual/branch performance. 
  • Work closely with Sales and the Regional Customer Service Manager to ensure excellent customer service 
  • Perform/Approve Branch Inventory Requests (IRT’s) to ensure we have the right inventory at the right place at the right time. 
  • Perform/Monitor/Approve hourly time keeping system for all branch employees 
  • Update branch calendars as necessary including employee PTO schedules, Vendor/Product manager lunch and learns 
  • Oversee picking and transfer queue 
  • Drive company safety initiatives and compliance in the warehouse 
  • Manage and adhere to current DOT regulations 
  • Manage efficient, safe and accurate entry of orders & delivery of products  
  • Monitor and track fleet maintenance and cleanliness 
  • Manage the delivery logistics for the branch  
  • Monitor performance goals and metrics and identify areas of opportunity 
  • Provide back up support to the warehouse, counter/inside sales  
  • Support team members by participating in team lifts 
  • Assist in building and grounds maintenance service as needed 
  • Assist in IT maintenance and upgrades for the branch 
  • Review and process branch expenses to accounting 
  • Provide cross-training for new branch employees 
  • Organize branch customer events 
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to enhance employee performance and engagement  
  • Promote our culture (5V’s and 5 P’s)

Job Requirements/Specifications:  

  • High School Diploma or GED required 
  • Minimum of a two year degree preferred
  •  5 years previous distribution experience preferred 
  • Electrical product knowledge is preferred 
  • Previous experience in warehouse leadership preferred 
  • Previous experience managing a team of five or more preferred 
  • Ability to operate lift truck equipment  
  • Demonstrated computer skills 
  • Ability to work with Excel documents 
  • Knowledge of Eclipse and RF guns preferred 
  • Ability to lift 100 lbs on a consistent basis
