Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Status:  $55,000 plus/Annual, full-time, benefited, exempt
Benefits: Includes single or family health care coverage (premiums paid for by the university), basic life insurance, EAP, retirement plan, tuition waiver, annual and sick leave.  Optional benefits available: supplemental life, dental, vision, flexible spending account, supplemental retirement plans.
Work Schedule:  Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.  Evening and weekend hours may be required, occasional travel required.

This position will report directly to the Interim Executive Director of RIAS and manage all aspects of complex projects from inception to conclusion. This position will plan and define project scope, project budget creation and evaluation, participate in field project activities, oversee/participate in data collection efforts, creating charts, schedules, documents, and reports and insuring deliverables are met by project deadlines.

Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Project Management 

  • Oversee program initiatives and day-to-day project management.
  • Create and implement quality improvement strategies.
  • Arrange & participate in team meetings, including logistical arrangements, drafting agendas, and recording minutes.
  • Write and submit required project reports.
  • Plan, design/shape, and implement projects. 
  • Prepare project budgets.
  • Maintain accurate tracking of projects, goals, objectives and deliverables.
  • Ensure execution of projects within the academic affairs division.
  • Prepare materials for submission to funding agencies, including any reporting requirements.
  • Create charts, graphs, and schedules as needed to support successful execution of the project.
  • Facilitate and manage project meetings and appropriate support documentation for participants.
  • Support data collection and analysis efforts:
    • Collect, compile, analyze, and interpret data.
    • Record procedures and results.
    • Input and retrieve data using computers and other devices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Project Development

  • Attend and participate in meetings and conferences.
  • Support developing relationships with potential clients.
  • Support initial concept/project shaping with clients to define a Statement of Work.
  • Support creation of new marketing materials.
  • Work with clients and vendors through the contracting process.
  • Develop business partnerships as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree earned by start date.
  • Experience with managing projects or events.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Records Check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Experience working in higher education.
