RCC TRAINED MEDICATION AIDE

JOB SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, the Trained Medication Aide is responsible for administering medications in accordance with established protocols of Rice Care Center.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING: Must be certified as a Registered Nursing Assistant and be in "good standing" on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry. Must be at least 18 years of age. Unlicensed nursing personnel must have completed a medication administration training program which is offered through a Minnesota postsecondary educational institution. EXPERIENCE: Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or Trained Medication Aide preferred. Has satisfactorily completed the training program required. A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Nursing Assistant is required for the position. Must enjoy working with the geriatric population.
