Rental Associate

What You'll Take Ownership Of:

A Rental Associate at Acme Tools plays a pivotal role in the success of our business by working to:

• Greet and assist all customers and potential customers in a professional and courteous manner

• Identify the customer's needs and provide them with knowledgeable assistance to ensure they select the correct tool or equipment to serve their needs

• Create, modify, and close customer contracts accurately

• Load, unload, and organize rental equipment around the yard

• Communicate professionally with customers via phone, email, and in person

• Instruct customers on tool/equipment safety, operation, loading and unloading

• Inspect tools and equipment for damage and report repairs needed

• Record hours and fuel levels upon rental and return

• Troubleshoot equipment issues for customers in person and on the phone

• Keep informed on all new and current products carried by Acme Rents

• Participate in store events such as physical inventories, rental meetings, trade shows, and special sales

• Schedule and conduct ongoing maintenance as needed to keep equipment in good working condition

• Assist in maintaining a safe and secure work environment by adhering to safety standards and reporting any suspicious activity

• Rolling with the punches when it comes to taking on new, related challenges

Need-To-Haves:

• Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers (written and verbal)

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software

• Ability to lift 70 lbs.

• Ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 10 hours, frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, continuously climb and descend stairs safely

Skills and Experience Preferred:

• Tool & equipment knowledge
