Graphic Design and Marketing Specialist

Position Description:
The departments of Residence Life and NDSU Dining are looking for a highly creative and forward-thinking individual to join our team as a full-time graphic design and marketing specialist.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on producer of impact visual content and excels in modern design, copy writing and digital marketing. This support role works directly with the Assistant Director of Marketing to drive creative strategy, and develop and produce quality creative solutions.
Responsibilities:

Graphic Design - Develop and design visual content, using Adobe Creative Suite

Social Media - Assist social media strategy and management

Copy Writing - Create and edit content for multiple platforms

Videography/Photography - Capture and create video and image assets to support marketing initiatives

Website Management - Assist website content, using a content management system

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, marketing, communication or related field
- One or more years working within a design firm, advertising agency or other creative team environment (experience while pursuing degree included) as a graphic designer, content creator, or digital marketing specialist
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (predominately InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) and Microsoft Office (predominately in Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication and grammar skills
- Portfolio of graphic design work

Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced experience in creating content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter) and growing a social audience
- Experience managing campaigns in Google paid search and social media advertising platforms
- Knowledge and/or experience with the Department of Residence Life and NDSU Dining
- Ability to shoot, develop, and edit video
- Experience with photography and photo editing
