Job Details

Position Description:
This position will design, manage and direct the continuity programs for NDSU , facilitating their inclusion with the emergency response framework of the university. This position will create, develop, implement and exercise policies and procedures related to continuity management and coordinate and integrate continuity planning strategies with related disciplines, including disaster recovery, emergency response and crisis management.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in appropriate field of study related to emergency management, risk assessment, business continuity, etc.
  • Five years experience in relevant field, with at least two years directly related to continuity planning and operations
  • Experience in conducting tabletop and/or functional exercises related to continuity and emergency response
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and appropriately based on audience with excellent facilitation and presentation skills
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Demonstrated excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • More than two years experience working with continuity planning and operations
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of applications, especially Outlook and Excel

Physical Demands:
Must frequently be able to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, and use hands/fingers; occasionally reach with hands and arms, climb and balance, stoop/kneel/crouch and/or crawl, taste and smell, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
