As the HIM Manager at Carris Health, you'llplan, organize, and directthe operations of the Health Information Management Departments, Carris-wide. You will have an opportunity to oversee staff in multiple sites and bring small teams together in an effort to advance HIM across Carris and CentraCare. Other duties willinclude: medical record retention and destruction, analysis, release of information, regulatory activities related to the health record and supervising staff.

At the leadership level, you'll work on thedevelopment, implementation, maintenance, privacy and governs health information for the area hospitals and clinics. This position is alsoresponsiblefor ensuring the processing of all outpatient and inpatient records for timely and accurate chart completion and ensuring documentation guidelines and rules are met. You'll also have an opportunity to collaborate with the Medical Staff on matters of chart completion and documentation to ensure compliance with licensing, accreditation, and legal requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management preferred
• Associates Degree in Health Information Management required
• Minimum of two years' experience in Health Information Management leadership or four years of progressive responsibility in Health Information Management
• Accreditation by the American Health Information Management Association as a Registered Health Information Administration (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) required, or must be obtained withinone year of hire date
