Summary
Job Summary: Assists the optometrist/ophthalmologist by performing any combination of the following tasks: office management, prepare patient for vision exam, assists in testing for near and far acuity, and visual field, utilizing ocular testing apparatus, lensometry, assisting in laser and office surgical procedures. Instructs patient in care and use of glasses or contact lenses. Modifies contact lenses. Maintains inventory of materials and cleans instruments.
Education and Training: Graduate of optometric assistant program
Experience: Prefer at least one year experience in field
