Service Custodian

Position Description:
The purpose of the position is to perform the custodial duties required to maintain an environment that is clean and sanitary, for all NDSU Campus Buildings. Custodian utilizes established methods and procedures to achieve departmental standards throughout campus buildings, with a common goal of providing the most optimal results, with the resources that are available. The custodian reports to the Custodial Supervisor

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge of materials, equipment and methods used in the cleaning and upkeep of buildings.
- Ability to follow communicated instructions
- Must possess computer usage skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Satisfactory demonstration of individual's ability to meet minimum qualifications
- Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in university or school custodial services
- Minimum of one year custodial work experience

Physical Demands:
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
